Fall Conference 2010 Registration

Greetings!

 The Women's Commission of SWLA, Inc. is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year and we are honored that you are interested in celebrating this special day with us.  More than 1100 women attended last year's Conference and enjoyed a full day of learning, sharing and shopping. If you were not able to attend the 2009 Fall Conference, click on the download form button that is located on the home page to see last year's brochure to get just a taste of what is coming for 2010.

 This year's Conference, scheduled for Thursday, October 21, 2010, will feature mental-health activist, best-selling author and renowned journalist, Jane Pauley, as the keynote speaker.  Held at the Lake Charles Civic Center, this year's Conference will offer a wide variety of innovative workshops and a Market Place, that promises to be even bigger and better than before.

 Women, today, occupy positions of great responsibility - both at home and in the workplace. With today's ever-changing climate, women will play increasingly critical roles in determining the future.  A good, quality education is essential in giving women the competitive edge.  Focusing on one of the Commission's core goals:  addressing the educational needs of women, the Women's Commission has been able to provide scholarships to women students at McNeese State University. This year, through the hard work of its members, the Commission is proud to announce the creation of an additional scholarship.
